Lesson learned & innovation ecosystem: ETAPAS workshop in Paris

The Ministery of the Economy and Finance will participate in the workshop co-organized by CEA List and the ETAPAS Project Consortium, on April 21st, to share its experience regarding the issue of the ethical adoption of disruptive technologies (DTs) in the Public Administration.

The ethical adoption of Disruptive Technologies offers the possibility to increase the efficiency of processes, allowing the valorisation of data and information in compliance with the principles which guarantee their safe use and in line with the regulatory framework.

In this context, the ETAPAS (Ethical Technology Adoption in Public Administration Services, 2020-2023) research project funded by the European Commission through the Horizon 2020 program and coordinated by the MEF aims to co-design with the PA a context made up of ethical principles, measurable indicators and a legal perimeter for the responsible adoption of DTs. This approach is validated through four use cases based on specific experiences of the provision of services offered by Public Administrations.

The workshop entitled Lesson learned and Innovation Ecosystem around the ethical adopt of Disruptive Technologies in public sector will bring together the heads of European public administrations for a joint reflection on the results obtained from the use of the ETAPAS framework in the case of use of the MEF (Ethically Responsible Big Open Data) and on possible declinations in other public contexts.

It is an event of particular interest to policy makers, innovation project managers, members of the European Commission, Public Administrations and Public Sector Organizations, as well as Universities and Research Centres, Digital Innovation Hubs, IT industry, start-ups and tech companies.
