BDVA (Big Data Value Association), is the international non-profit organization composed of over 230 partners including companies, research world and public bodies, born with the aim of developing an innovation ecosystem that allows the digital transformation of the economy and society in Europe. 

The annual BDVA event aims to promote projects, actions, institutional initiatives and industrial and research activities in the data and artificial intelligence sectors, topics at the center of each meeting scheduled this year. 

The Ministry of Economy and Finance, already a member of BDVA, will participate in the 2023 edition of the forum contributing to the panel on October 26 titled “Empowering the Public Sector through AI”. During this talk, we will try to answer some of the most urgent questions concerning the adoption of innovative technologies in PA, highlighting the importance of upskilling initiatives to enhance and enhance internal skills to administrations. Furthermore, we will reflect together on the regulatory framework, with a focus on future impacts of AI Act in public sector. 

The 2023 program includes sessions and workshops that outline the way forward for big data management through data spaces, showing how companies and PAs can leverage the power of artificial intelligence as an enabling factor for digital transformation. The set of all proposed meetings will offer the opportunity to obtain a vision related to these topics, with a focus on the social implications of technologies that today are experiencing a moment of rapid evolution.
